Last month I experienced, with the collaboration and love of my family, one of the most unbelievable experiences from this stage of my life. Ceramic Art London was beyond my expectations.
After I arrived and set up my space, I was able to walk through the event and got excited to watch how the great European ceramists created their spaces with their own hands with the help from their families or colleagues but turning the spaces into an artwork that without a doubt, they had to do by themselves.
Surrounded by many people that I really admire, I shyly dressed up my space as a Guatemalan plateau landscape. The collection I worked one year ago and that was the one that helped me reach my goal to participate in this event.
It was a dream came true that surpassed all my expectations. London is a city where art appears to be as essential as water, electricity, or gas to everyone. I am happy that my entire collection stayed in the city, as part of the Wilson’s 55 (www.wilson55.com) contemporary art auction on May 30th. All of this, thanks to the trust of James Spiridion, to who I’m going to be grateful for the rest of my life.
Dreams come true and make room to new dreams that almost always turn into new art pieces. Today, I feel equally thankful and responsible of continuing to share that happiness that I feel when I put my hands and sensibility into clay.
